Industries & use cases

Shared platform foundations. Sector-shaped workflows.

SHEARR is being designed for specialist SMEs that have outgrown generic tools but do not want the cost and weight of traditional ERP. The shared platform handles the connected operational core, while vertical capability can reflect how each sector actually works.

Where we are focusing

Different industries. The same underlying connection problem.

The details change by sector, but the pattern is familiar: customer information becomes operational work, operational work drives purchasing and people activity, and all of it eventually affects commercial reporting. SHEARR is being built around that chain rather than a collection of isolated apps.

Engineering & manufacturing

For businesses where customer demand, purchasing, stock, jobs, production activity and commercial control need to stay connected.

Enquiry → quote → job → purchasing/BOM → stock → work → invoice → reporting

Construction & housebuilding

For operational models involving sites, plots, employees and subcontractors, price work, approved rates, evidence, approvals and commercial oversight.

Site → plot → work items → assignment → evidence → approval → commercial control

Renewables & field operations

For businesses that need customer, survey, job, installation, compliance, handover and ongoing service information to remain part of one operational record.

Lead → survey → design/quote → install → compliance → handover → service

Specialist engineering & motorsport

For high-mix environments where bespoke work, parts, purchasing, stock, documentation and job history matter more than a one-size-fits-all process.

Requirement → estimate → work package → parts → build/work → sign-off → history

Built around the operation

Vertical does not mean starting again.

The aim is not to create a completely different product for every industry. Customers, suppliers, people, permissions, documents, commercial information and auditability belong to a shared platform foundation.

Sector modules then add the workflows and data that genuinely differ: plots and price work in housebuilding, BOM and production detail in engineering, or survey-to-install compliance in renewables.

Active development

We are validating workflows with real businesses now.

SHEARR is not being presented as a finished off-the-shelf product today. The platform is in active development, and industry workflows are being shaped and tested before production release.

If your business relies on spreadsheets, disconnected systems or manual hand-offs, those real processes are exactly the kind of detail we want to understand.

Your workflow

Does your sector have a process generic software never quite fits?

Tell us where the friction is. We are particularly interested in workflows that currently require duplicate entry, spreadsheets, workarounds or information moving manually between systems.
